(HUAWEI) - The Broadband Africa Forum, the summit of the broadband industry, was held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Organized by InformaTech in partnership with Huawei, the theme for the 2021 edition of the event was "Enlightening the future of Africa through the delivery of quality broadband".Experts from the region and around the world will share their experiences, while giving their vision of broadband as an accelerator of political, commercial and technological innovation in Africa.Broadband has become an important driver of economic development.According to World Bank studies, every 10% of broadband penetration can generate up to 1.5% of GDP growth. However, while the penetration rate and the average speed of broadband in Africa have increased at an exponential rate in recent years, it still remains far from the global average."Huawei has been in Africa for more than 20 years, and its priority is to provide digital coverage to every home," said Benjamin Hou, President of Huawei Northern Africa Carrier Business."We are therefore committed to providing innovative broadband solutions, in order to reduce the digital divide that the continent is experiencing, a sine qua none condition for its development."During the Summit, African Union delegates, governments, operators, business representatives and other analysts from across the region held in-depth discussions on the expansion of broadband services and applications in Africa. In Africa, the Covid-19 epidemic has profoundly changed the way organizations operate, as well as the way of life of individuals.Faced with this state of affairs, Huawei is convinced that African countries must treat broadband as a universal service at thealong with water and electricity, in order to support social stability and economic development.Founded in 1987, Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. We have more than 197,000 employees, and we operate in more than 170 countries and regions, serving more than three billion people around the world. Our vision and mission is to bring digital to every person, home and organization for a smart, fully connected world. To this end, we will foster ubiquitous connectivity and promote equal access to networks;bringing the cloud and artificial intelligence to every corner of the world to deliver superior computing power where you need it, when you need it;build digital platforms to help all industries and organizations become more agile, efficient and dynamic;redefining the user experience with AI, making it more personalized for individuals in all aspects of their lives, whether at home, in the office or on the go.For more information, visit Huawei's website at www.huawei.com5 Obstacles to Having a Mobile Money Account -
